BRAKE SHOES

Brake shoes, also known as brake linings serve a similar role as brake pads though they are not the same thing.With a crescent-shaped appearance,they have a rough friction surface on one side.When the brake pedal is depressed,the brake linings which are usually located within the brake drums are thrust outwards pressing the brake drum’s interior thereby slowing the wheel.
