2ZR ENGINE

Akin to the 5A series, the 2ZR series was introduced in 2007, the ZR engine is a family of straight four 16-valve all-aluminum and water cooled gasoline engines with a die cast aluminum block and variable valve timing. They are equipped with Toyota’s dual VVT-I technology that optimizes both intake and exhaust valve timing, with the first Valvematic system appearing on Noah and Voxy in 2007.Known for its fuel efficiency and reliability, it replaced the older 1ZZ-FE and is used in models such as corolla,prius,scion etc.
